Waunifor is located in the beautiful Teifi valley on the borders of Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion. We are situated along a very quiet rural lane with plenty of lovely walks nearby and just one mile from the old druid path which runs along the river Teifi,. The area is popular with anglers, walkers, cyclists, bird-watchers and families as well as providing inspiration for artists, photographers and crafts people.
There are a variety of family run pubs close-by providing excellent food and ambience. The nearest town is Llandysul (4 miles away) with a wide range of shops and amenities including mini-markets, butchers selling locally produced meat, post-office, chemists, banks and an Indian takeaway. It is also the home of the Paddlers canoe centre which regularly hosts national slalom and canoeing events and there is an excellent children’s play area and park as well as a swimming pool and leisure centre.
Larger towns in the area are Lampeter (8 miles away), an ancient University town with several supermarkets, pubs, hotels and a range of shops. Restaurants include an award winning fish and chip shop (Lloyds), Indian restaurant and Chinese as well as a variety of cafes. In Carmarthen (12 miles) you will find a traditional market, several large supermarkets (Morrisons, Tesco Extra, Lidls) and most high street stores and in Cardigan (16 miles), on the Teifi estuary, as well as an interesting array of small shops, art centre and gallery there is a newly refurbished theatre and cinema.
