The secluded grounds and comfortable cottage accommodation make Waunifor a lovely venue for a holiday. With rolling green hills and wooded valleys all around us and the beautiful beaches of Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire within easy reach, Waunifor is a great getaway destination, whether you want to just relax and unwind, enjoy a traditional family holiday or pursue a range of activities like walking, fishing or bird-watching. There is a wealth of local heritage to discover and an abundance of artists and craft-workers with workshops and galleries to visit, as well as the delights of the Welsh countryside.

Waunifor is set in five acres of picturesque grounds. Visitors have access to a very pleasant variety of gardens and natural areas within the grounds. There is a warm, sunny Victorian walled garden, with Welsh oak benches set in nooks amongst the flowers, from which to enjoy the tranquillity. Within the walled garden are plantings of medicinal herbs, a small pond and an abundance of colourful flowers and lush foliage.
There is a paddock, with a large open grassy space, ideal for ball games, and individual gardens, with tables, outside each cottage. There are pleasant paths all around the pond and stream and between different areas, and a small woodland walk through the copse. The clean rural setting and mixture of habitats makes Waunifor a haven for wildlife, and many birds can be observed - from wrens up to the magnificent red kites - without even leaving your cottage!

There are six self catering holiday cottages at Waunifor, all graded 3 and 4-star by the Wales Tourist Board. The cottages are all original stone buildings, refurbished to a high quality, whilst retaining plenty of charm and character. All our accommodation is well appointed and fully equipped for self catering, with central heating throughout, new showers and fitted kitchens. Most have either a wood-burning stove or open fire (see individual cottage descriptions), with logs included in the price. There is a coin operated laundry on site for visitors use and a small shop selling overnight essentials along with gifts, crafts, cards and snacks, which is open by request.
We have a working pottery in the new craft studio, and visitors can book classes during their stay, with our resident potter, and fully qualified teacher, Lisette Chesshire, see her work at www.ceramichousesigns.co.uk/.
Waunifor is open all year round for holidays, weekends and short breaks. The area is lovely in all seasons and the cottages have full central heating, so are cosy for autumn and winter breaks. Christmas and New Year with family and friends round the log fire in a traditional cottage is a delightful experience, and having thirty-six beds in total, we can accommodate large parties, all on the same site. We also offer some great bargains off-peak, see our special offers page for details.
Waunifor is a great place to bring children: away from traffic and other perils of the modern world they play happily and safely for hours within the grounds. There is a play area with a swing and sandpit and other time honoured favourites, as well as plenty of space for games and sports. Apart from the beaches there are plenty of attractions suitable for children, see our activities page for details.

Well behaved pets are also welcome at Waunifor. There are plenty of lovely walks locally, suitable for dogs (as well as people!), and dogs are allowed on most beaches, including local favourites, Llangranog and Cwmtydu.
